Want some bearded iris rhizomes?

Sweety and I spent a good portion of today dividing iris rhizomes. After replanting the ones we wanted, we still have several rhizomes each of Lemon Pop (soft yellow) and Starwoman (crazy blue-violet plicata on white). Nine and eight, respectively, if you want to know. They're both median iris that won't get taller than two feet, and both are from healthy plants.

So, if you're one of my SF Bay Area buds (har), let me know if you want some iris. In garden soil, they grow pretty well with a little bone meal and a lot of neglect--they hate being overwatered. They can also grow in pots outdors, although they don't bloom as nicely there. They like full sun, as much of it as they can get.

I wish I could mail them to people, but I think that takes some kind of permit. Or is that necessary only if they're shipped across state lines? At any rate, I need to find homes for these this week. If nobody takes them, Sweety and I might be able to pot them, but seriously, seventeen of them? We'd really rather find them homes.

UPDATE: The 'Lemon Pop' rhizomes have found a home! 'Starwoman' is still available, though...a whole Pleiades+1 of them.
